I'm having the same problem and am totally and completely confused. I'm totally new to this custom rom stuff and just rooted my downloaded file checksum does not match and flashed the Revolution HD rom for my phone. Everywhere I see to check MD5 sum before flashing and make sure it matches first.

I honestly have no clue what this means but I download the rom zip file to my sd card, and use astro file manager to check the md5 sum and it does not match what's listed by the developer on the download page?

I've done it twice now and both times the md5 does not match and both time the md5 numbers are different. What am I doing wrong here? I haven't felt so confused in my life??
