So after more than 10 years, I whipped out the old airbrushes, cleaned them up real good, and put a new fan in my paintbox. The flash takes away from the subtlety of some lightsaber blender file download the paint, but I think the weathered look with some rust here and there turned out really well.
But have too many other project at the moment. I printed this out almost as soon as it showed up on this site and I am very happy with the finished product. The pieces all fit together very well and the details are great. I cleaned up the print and painted it up for a display at a local cinema that a couple of us at Weta put together.
